The Power of your Thoughts
Thoughts and Purpose
Until thought is linked with purpose, there is no tangible accomplishment. Those who have no central purpose in their life fall an easy prey to petty worries, troubles and fears, all are which are indications of unhappiness, failures, and loss. These 'weaknesses' cannot thrive in a power-evolving universe.
You should aim to strive for legitimate purpose in your heart, and set out to accomplish it by making this purpose the central point of your thoughts. This may take the form of a spiritual ideal, or it may be a spiritual ideal, or it may be a worldly object. Make this purpose your supreme duty , devote yourself to attainment and prevent yourself from distractions. This is the royal road to self-control and true concentration of thought. Even if you feel failure again and again for your purpose, which is a necessary must until weakness is overcome, the strength of character gained will be the measure of true success, and this will form a new starting point for future achievement and success.
Those who are not prepared for the apprehension of a great purpose, should focus on the thoughts of their performance of duty (no matter how insignificant the task may appear). In doing this, thoughts can be gathered and focused, and resolution and energy is developed. Once this is done, there is nothing that cannot be accomplished.
The acknowledgement of your weaknesses is the strength that can be developed by effort and practice. Adding to effort, patience and strength, this will develop and grow strength. By removing aimlessness and to begin thinking with purpose, you then enter the ranks of the successful mindset of those who recognise failure as one of the paths to attainment and achievement. Those who attempt fearlessly, think strongly, make conditions serve them and accomplish masterfully.
Once a purpose has been conceived, plan a straight pathway to reaching achievement and remove distractions, doubts and fears. These negative thoughts lead to failure. Purpose, energy, motivation and all strong thoughts cease when doubt and fear creep in. Doubt and fear are the greatest enemies of knowledge. When you conquer doubt and fear, you will conquer failure.
When thoughts are allied fearlessly to purpose, this becomes creative force. Once you know this, you are ready to become higher and stronger than simply wavering thoughts and fluctuating sensations. When you implement this, you have then become the conscious and intelligent wielder of your mental powers.
Thoughts and Achievement
All that you achieve and all that you may fail to achieve is the direct result of your own thoughts. A persons weaknesses and strength, purity and impurity, are their own. A persons suffering or happiness are evolved from within; your thoughts are what define your outcome.
A person must be willing to develop the strength to reach achievement. You can only rise, conquer and achieve by lifting up your thoughts and perspective of life. Otherwise you can remain stationery or even negative.
Before you can achieve anything, you must lift your thoughts above negativity. There can be no progress, no achievement without sacrifice, strengthening resolution and self-reliance. The higher your thoughts are elevated, the more righteous, blessed and enduring your achievements.
Achievement, of any kind, is the crown of effort and a result of thought. By the aid of self-control, resolution, purity, righteousness, and well-directed thought, a person ascends. By indolence, impurity, corruption and confusion of thought, a person descends. You can rise to high successes in the world and the spiritual realm, and again descend if you allow arrogant, selfish and corruption take over your thoughts. Victories that are achieved by right thought can and must be maintained by watchfulness. Many give way when success has been reached and can potentially fall back into failure. All achievements, whether in business, intellectual or the spiritual world are the result of directed thought governed by the same law and method; the only difference is the object of attainment.
Those who accomplish little, sacrifice little; those that achieve much, sacrifice much. Those that attain highly must sacrifice greatly.
Visions and Ideals
Dreamers are the saviors of the world. Composer, sculptor, painter, poet, artist, mentor - they are all architects of heaven. The world is beautiful because they have lived and contributed to it. Those that cherish a beautiful vision, a kind-hearted ideal, will one day realise it. Columbus cherished a vision of another world and he discovered it. Copernicus fostered the vision of a multiplicity of worlds and a wider universe, and he revealed it. Buddha beheld the vision of a spiritual world of stainless beauty and perfect peace, and he entered into it.
Cherish your visions, cherish your ideals. Cherish the music that stirs in your heart, the beauty that forms in your mind, the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts. For out of them will grow all delightful conditions, and heavenly environments. If you remain true to them, your world will at last be built.
To desire is to obtain, to aspire is to achieve. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall unveil. Every greatest achievement was once a dream. Dreams are the seedlings of realities.
You will realise the vision (not the idle wish) of your heart, whether it is basic or beautiful, or a mixture of both, with determination you will gravitate toward that which you secretly desire. Into your hands will be placed the exact results of your own thoughts. You will receive that which you earn, no more and no less. Whatever your present environment may be, you will remain, fall or rise with your thoughts - your vision, your ideal. You will become as small as your controlling desire; as great as your dominant aspiration.
Serenity
Calmness of mind is one of the most beautiful jewels of wisdom. It is the result of long and patient effort in self-control. Its presence is an indication of ripened experience, and a more ordinary knowledge of the laws and operations of thought.
A person becomes calm in the measure of understanding themselves as thought-evolved beings, and as you develop the right understanding, you'll be able to see more clearly the result of thought, the internal relations of things by the action of cause and effect; rather than worrying, being angry, fussing and fuming but remaining poised, steadfast and serene.
A calm person has learnt how to govern oneself to adapt themselves to others. And they, in turn, reverence in their spiritual strength, and feel they can learn and rely from that calm person. The more tranquil a person becomes, the greater their success, influence and power for good. Even the ordinary trader will find their business prosperity increase as they develop a greater self-control and equanimity, for people will always prefer to deal with a person who's demeanor is strong and equitable.
The strong, calm person is always loved and revered. Who does not love a tranquil heart and a balanced life? It does not matter whether it rains or shines, or what changes come to those possessing these blessings, for they are always sweet, serene and calm. That control of character that we call serenity is the last lesson of culture, the flowering of life and the soul. This is as precious as wisdom, and more to be desired than gold. How insignificant money-seeking appears in comparison with a serene life - a life that dwells in the ocean of truth, beneath the waves, beyond the reach of the tempests and the eternal calm ~
Only the wise person, whose thoughts are controlled and purified can make the winds and the storms obey them. Self-control is strength. Thoughtful wisdom is mastery. Calmness is power.
